美联储加息与否如何对你产生影响？

The FED uses higher rates to calm a volatile economy, meaning that when rates are increased, the cost of borrowing is raised for both businesses and consumers. The aim of an increase is to encourage consumers to hold back in their spending, helping to alleviate some pressure during an overheating economy.

美联储通过加息来稳定经济，也就是说，当利率增加的时候，企业和消费者的借贷成本也都上升了。加息的目的之一就是鼓励消费者握紧钱包，降低开销，从而为过热的经济减轻部分压力。

In the case of commodities, the FED can decide to elevate interest rates, which can boost the US dollar, in turn making commodities priced in the greenback more expensive for holders of other currencies.

就商品而言，美联储决定加息的话，将会提振美元，反之也会使得以美元报价的商品相对于其他货币持有者来说更昂贵。

The FED also decides on the rate applied to your credit card. So, if the FED decides to increase the interest rate by 0.50%, you as a credit card holder will be paying 0.50% more in interest on your purchases, unless you have a fixed credit card rate.

美联储也决定了你的信用卡利率。所以，如果美联储决定加息0.50%，作为信用卡持卡人，那么你在开销上需要额外支付0.50%的利率，除非你的信用卡利率是固定不变的。

Mortgages move automatically in conjunction with the FED’s decision, but if the FED seems optimistic about the economy, mortgages tend to move upwards. Higher interest payments make monthly mortgage payments more expensive, meaning that homes become less affordable as the rate rises.

抵押贷款动向会自动跟随美联储决议走，但是如果美联储对经济持乐观态度，抵押贷款也会跟着上涨。利率上升，每月按揭还款也会更多，也就是说利率上升后，家庭的负担就会更重。

In the case of credits or loans, the interest rate you pay to your bank will also rise as a results of the FED’s interest rate hikes. Whilst you should bear in mind that the core rate is not appointed by the FED, it is largely determined by the rate at which the FED sets it, which is the Federal Funds Rate.

就贷款而言，如果美联储加息了，那么你支付给银行的利率也会随之增加。同时，你要谨记的是，核心利率并不是美联储指定的，主要是由美联储设定的联邦基金利率（ Federal Funds Rate）决定的。

Higher interest rates on savings are unlikely, as the interest rates that banks decide to pay back on savings accounts and CDs are not linked to the FED’s decisions. Those rates are decided by how important it is for the institution to obtain more money in the form of deposits.

那存款利率是不是也增加了？其实不然，因为银行支付给储户的利率不受美联储决定的影响，而取决于机构以存款形式获取资金的重要程度。
